In the spirit of transparency, The Empowered Patient Coalition is releasing a preliminary summary of aggregated data from our medical harm reporting survey.

A great number of patients who experience medical harm encounter more then one type of event so the number of incidents reported is greater then the number of individual responders.

We have chosen to release the initial data using the five main categories listed below. As more data is collected it will be tabulated and reported in a greater number of categories and will include more specific details, including the factors that patients have identified as contributing to their incidents.
