Our health care system is broken. We’ve all experienced it for ourselves, read heart-breaking stories, or watched loved ones suffer needlessly. For women and their families, there is no more urgent priority. We need a health care system that provides affordable choices, comprehensive coverage including the full range of reproductive health services, and access to health professionals who deliver the highest quality care.

 

Affordability - The high cost of health care is a huge problem for women, who are more likely to need and use services, but often have less ability to pay. More »

Choice of Plan - Women are more likely to own or work for the smallest businesses, many of which struggle to provide health insurance coverage to employees. More »

Market Protections - Insurers today can turn people away, raise rates or drop coverage based on a person’s health history, and they can delay or deny essential care. More »

Adequate Coverage - Many insurance plans do not provide comprehensive coverage, particularly to women. More »
