The Empowered Patient Coalition provides resources enabling patients to take control of their medical treatments.

Texas Advocates for Patient Safety…promoting disclosure in medical care for the state of Texas and beyond. TAPS focuses on making hospital and physician practices the trusted servants that patients believe in and deserve.

We accomplish this by working to:

• Improve public access to information about the safety "history of hospitals and the doctors who work in them.
• Encourage and support legislation that serves to hold hospitals and physicians accountable for their work.
• Measure, analyze and report on healthcare quality in the state of Texas.
