Indeed, some studies have found that the problem has only gotten worse, year after year. The American public still fails to understand the gravity and scope of the problem, due in large part to the industry's lack of disclosure and the medical shroud of secrecy and deceit.

Enough is enough. The status quo is simply no longer acceptable.

Preventable medical errors and hospital acquired infections remain one of the most urgent, widespread public safety problems facing our nation today.
